Help For Rubi
Rubi is a rescue. She was found in a box with her two brothers outside of a McDonald’s in Los Angeles. I got her when she was four months, and have had her the past 3.5 years. She’s hardly 4 years old. Although I saved Rubi, I think she saved me more.
Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago Rubi’s belly filled with fluid. After much testing a doctor called with the news I dreaded the most – Rubi has lymphoma. She has cancer.
They’re doing more tests to see specifically what kind it is so that we can ease her pain and manage it or potentially save her. As a sprite 4 year old – Rubi seems to want to fight this, but if at any point she seems like she doesn’t want to fight anymore, I will honor her wish – as hard as that will be.
If she doesn’t want to fight anymore, the least I can do is have her euthanized at home in peace, she is traumatized by all of her hospital visits.
